Sound Memories Director, Cheryl Beer became Resident Digital Storyteller in Rhondda Cynon Taff, visiting 8 primary schools as part of the Voices of the Valley transition project. She taught the children different methods of qualitative interviewing & supported them to record conversations with the older community. In addition to forming new inter-generational friendships & deconstructing stereotypes, the digital story collection became part the Voices of the Valley production performed to a full house for 2 nights at Parc & Dare Theatre. The work was highly commended by the Education Department for creating bridges across generations.
